CONTEST RULES & REGULATIONS:
No purchase necessary to enter or win. By entering the Contest, entrants agree to abide by these Contest Rules & Regulations and the decisions of the sponsor, cmls Financial Ltd. (the “Sponsor” or “cmls”), which are final.
1. CONTEST ENTRY PERIOD
The Contest entry period runs from January 27th, 2025 at 12:01 am (EST) to April 7th, 2025 at 4:59 pm (EST) (the “Contest Entry Period”).
2. ELIGIBILITY
The Contest is open to mortgage borrowers with an active mortgage that is in good standing with cmls, both at the time of contest entry and at the Draw Date, who are residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) and have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry, except employees (and those with whom such employees are domiciled) of cmls, its affiliated companies or agents, advertising and promotion agencies and the Contest judges.
3. HOW TO ENTER
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter the Contest and earn a ballot to be entered into the draw, each entrant must fully complete the 2024 online customer survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/cmls_2024_Survey during the Contest Entry Period and indicate, using the method provided, that they wish to be entered into the Contest. Incomplete surveys may be deemed ineligible for a ballot, in the Sponsor’s sole discretion. There is a maximum of one entry per mortgage borrower. Any additional entries will be disqualified.
4. THE PRIZES
There will be one (1) grand prize available to be won, consisting of a $500.00 Visa gift card.
Prize must be accepted as awarded and may not be substituted, transferred or redeemed for cash or otherwise. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute a prize of greater or equivalent monetary value if the prize cannot be awarded as described for any reason. Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen prize. Gift card is subject to terms and conditions. Any other taxes, costs or expenses associated with the prize not specified herein will be the responsibility of selected winner.
5. ENTRANT SELECTION AND CONTEST DRAW(S)
On Friday April 11th, 2025 (“Draw Date”) at approximately 11:00 am (EST) at the offices of cmls at 18 York Street, Suite 1500, Toronto, Ontario, one (1) eligible entrant will be selected by random draw from all ballots earned during the Contest Entry Period.
The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Contest Entry Period.
A representative of the Sponsor will attempt to contact the selected entrant by telephone on the Draw Date. The prize must be confirmed with the selected entrant within 48 hours of the first attempt to contact the selected entrant. In order to win, the selected entrant must first correctly answer without any electronic, mechanical or other assistance a time limited mathematical skill testing question to be administered by telephone. If the selected entrant cannot be reached within the 48 hour period, or if for any other reason the prize cannot be awarded, another ballot may be randomly selected and an alternate entrant selected in the Sponsor’s sole discretion until the prize has been awarded.
The selected entrant may be required to sign and return a standard declaration and release form confirming compliance with the Contest Rules & Regulations and acceptance of the prize as awarded, within three (3) days after such documentation is sent to the selected entrant. Failure of a selected entrant to complete, sign and return any requested documents within such period may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate entrant in the Sponsor’s sole discretion.
The selected entrant is not a winner until their entry is validated and their eligibility is verified by the Sponsor. The prize will be delivered to the confirmed winner.
6. GENERAL
The contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, municipal and local laws, and is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
The Sponsor and those working on its behalf will not be responsible for entries that are lost, delayed, damaged or misdirected. The Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any failure of any website during the Contest Entry Period or any other period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any entry to be received by the Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, or for any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer.
By accepting a prize, the winner accepts all the conditions, restrictions and requirements required by the Sponsor in connection with the prizes and also agrees to accept delivery of the prize based on availability and in the manner determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion.
By accepting a prize, the winner consents to the use of his or her name and/or photograph and/or voice recording in any internal or external publicity carried out by the Sponsor in connection with this and/or similar promotions, without compensation, unless otherwise prohibited by law.
By accepting a prize, the winner agrees to release and hold harmless Sponsor, its parent and affiliated companies, its directors, officers, employees, agents, successors and assigns, from any damage, injury, death, loss or other liability that may arise from winner’s participation in the Contest or the awarding, acceptance, use or misuse of any prize.
The Sponsor reserves the right to withdraw, terminate or revise the Contest at any time without prior notice.
